Chuck E. Cheese's

What a busy Sunday we had! Our nephew, Jacob, had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's! That's the popular b-day spot for the kiddos and it's always a good time. While the little ones run around playing games and winning tickets, the adults are challenging each other to a friendly game of hoops. All the boys compete to see who gets the highest score! I think Papa Clint won out this time with a high score of 61! I even got in on the action but I think my highest was in the 30's. I have lost what little upper body strength I had back in the day so my arms get tired before the time runs out!

After the party, we went to Josh's Grandmother's (Nana) house for lunch. They try to get together every other Sunday or so to eat and have some FQT! It's so funny because most of the time we can't even get through the door without someone snatching C away from us! We don't mind because it gives us a couple of hours to eat and relax. They all just love her so much and can't wait to see her! It was a great weekend :)

I love these new pajamas we got C. She looks so cute in them! She is such a chunk though that I couldn't get the shirt on her....the arms were WAY too tight! I love dressing her up but I equally love seeing her in casual, comfy clothes. I just love her!

Lovejoy Running Club

Tonight was the first gathering of runners and walkers for the Lovejoy Running Club started by my ever so wonderful husband and Greg, the head track and cross country coach at Lovejoy HS. I have been really excited about it because it's a great opportunity to meet more of the Lovejoy community and get some exercise.

So, Josh, Dwayne and I packed up CeCe and Tony and headed up to the park. There was a great turnout especially considering it is Spring Break this week. Josh and Dwayne joined the pack of runners while C and I walked. About 3 minutes into it C started to fuss which kept me from keeping up with the group. And then about 7 minutes in duty called (for C). So we turned around and headed for the car for a quick change. Tony started out running with Josh then I took over after C and I got back out. We walked for about 15 minutes then the temperature dropped a good bit and we were not prepared for that. So we ended up going back to the car and waiting for the boys to finish up.

Overall it was a successful first night and we look forward to the weeks ahead. If you're interested in joining, we're at Celebration Park in Allen on Tuesday nights at 7pm! Come one, come all!
