The month of October has been crazy busy so I’m gonna do a catch-up post. I always let myself get too far behind then I feel like I have to update so I don’t leave anything out I’ve had in my head wanting to blog about. I should just take the time to post small ones so I won’t stress myself out. But that would be too easy, right?!? K, well enough thinking out loud!
At the beginning of October, we went to Stillwater, OK for a cross country meet Josh’s team was in. And he also ran… in the college division! I was so proud of him. He did a great job. His race wasn’t quite as fast as he wanted but considering how tough the course ended up being, he was happy with his time…and I was happy for him!
My birthday was on the 21st and I was fortunate to celebrate it 5 different times! I had a haircut/mani/pedi day with my bestie, Jessica, that was wonderful! My parents took me out to lunch on the day of my birthday and my in-laws took us out for dinner that night. Josh and I went out for dinner and a movie (‘The Invention of Lying’……funny but not great). And then we had Josh’s grandmother’s yummy lasagna for lunch to celebrate with the rest of the fam!
Sorry, I don’t have any pictures because my batteries were dead and I could never stop to think about getting some.
In the midst of all of this fun stuff, we decided to take advantage of the housing market and start the buying process! It’s exciting but frustrating at the same time. We put in an offer on one that we got outbid on, an offer on another that we might still pursue even though it could be a long delay on the seller’s end, and one on another we should find out about tomorrow. We’re keeping our fingers crossed but not letting ourselves get our hopes up.
And lastly, a weaning update. We have been weaning now for 10 weeks, I think, and are down to one feeding a day. CeCe has adjusted well even though she is definitely still interested in nursing. I’m not sure I’ll be able to limit this last feeding to just the two weeks as planned but we’ll see. It’s the morning feed that is left and really there is no big reason why I have to completely stop it. It’s our time in the morning to just relax and wake up before the running around begins. I get that time with her and daddy gets his time during the night feeding so I think it works out for everyone!
I have a lot of stuff to post of what all CeCe is up to these days but I’m off to bed for now!
Night :)
