Memphis

Friday morning, we left home and headed east to Memphis, TN for our friend, Anthony's wedding. CeCe stayed home with my mom because it was going to be a quick trip, pretty much there and back. We arrived and checked in the hotel about 3:00pm. We got settled then took a short nap before we had to get ready for the rehearsal at 5:30pm. After the rehearsal we went downtown to The Butcher Shop for the rehearsal dinner. It was a great time and a delicious meal. We had salad, a baked potato, texas toast and our choice of meat. Josh had a steak and I had some grilled chicken breasts. Yum! After dinner, the girls were taking Anthony's fiance, Jennifer, out for some drinks so a group of us decided to take Anthony out too. We walked around downtown Memphis, on the famous Beale street trying to find a place to go to. We ended up at Hooter's because Anthony's brother was with us and he wasn't 21 yet. Everyone had to be 21 just to be able to go inside a bar, whether you were drinking or not.

This is a picture of where we were on Beale!

The next morning, Josh and I lounged in our hotel room until we checked out at 12:30. We ate breakfast and watched a movie. After we checked out, we stopped by Anthony's house to get a quick tour before we ate lunch and got ready for the wedding.

We decided to eat at The Bar-B-Q Shop, one of Anthony and Jennifer's favorite bbq places! I had a chopped beef sandwich with seasoned fries and bbq beans, and Josh had a chopped pork sandwich with their famous bbq spaghetti. It was yummy!

Sealed with a kiss!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Rudine!

The happy couple as they exited!

The reception was at the Tower Room, which is 33 floors up, overlooking the beautiful scenery of East Memphis!

The reception was so much fun. The band was awesome. The food was delicious. And everything seemed to go off without a hitch!

We had to leave the reception early, by 10pm at the latest, to head back home in time for Josh to leave for the second Taos trip at 7am Sunday morning. We knew it was going to be rough having to drive through the night, but we had to make it happen. We were both so tired. We switched drivers every 100 miles or so to be able to get little cat naps in here and there. We finally made it home by 5:45am. Just enough time to unload the car and pack it up again for Josh. I got to bed a little after 6am. Luckily Josh was able to get a couple of hours of sleep on the car ride to Taos.

Although it was a little hectic, we were so glad we got to attend the wedding and be a part of their special day!
