After 2 months, we are sort of getting the swing of things. Vivi is starting to respond and interact a little more with smiling and cooing. This seems like something so small but it means so much, not only with her development, but with our bonding. So far I have pretty much felt like this whole bonding thing has been slow going. With the busyness of having 2 instead of 1, not spending as much time together as I'd like to because of work, and feeling like I've just been giving and giving without getting anything in return, it just feels impossible. At this age, they aren't able to give you kisses and hugs, call your name, say I love you, and all of the things I got used to getting from CeCe. They just eat, sleep, poop and cry. Now that she can focus and recognize faces, and smile, it has made a big difference. I never expected that I'd have these feelings so this is all a bit of surprise to me.
So far, I can't determine what her personality will be. She is pretty laid back and goes with the flow (most of the time), which is nice. She can be a little dramatic and impatient, but that could just be my perception because not all of my focus is on just her. She is gassy...a lot. She is not a great sleeper. There have been several nights where we've only had about 3 hours of sleep. Which, this is different from CeCe. From the very beginning, she slept consistently about 6 hours at a time. Because this is all we knew, that's what we expected from Vivi. So when you go to bed expecting to get 6 hours of sleep and only get 3 (interrupted) hours, it doesn't make for very happy times. So we've slowly prepared ourselves mentally for having less sleep, which really makes a huge difference. I'm hoping, PRAYING, that the 3 month mark will have an impact on this!
Ready for shopping!
Inspired by a blogger friend of mine, (thanks Marla!), I decided to do monthly growth pictures of Vivienne. The first ones aren't very consistent, but I'm working on that. So here she is at 2 weeks, 1 month, and 2 months.

And here are her stats:
Weight: 11 lbs, 5 oz
Height: 22 3/4 in
