Update: Nana

We spent some time with Nana last Sunday. She got to see the sonogram pictures of the new baby and felt it move around and kick. Then we saw her again on Wednesday. She was asleep most of the day but would wake up if anyone got real close and talked to her. Although she was weak, she was still able to give us a smile and joke a little. She talked to CeCe and gave her hugs and kisses.

About 1:30 yesterday morning, Nana's breathing became very shallow and she slipped into a coma. This was something that the doctors said was going to happen due to the organ failure so it was always just a matter of when. Then about 8:45 today, she took her last breath and left this life to be with the Lord and reunite with her love.

Rest in Peace, Nana. You are such a special person. I just picture GaGa waiting with open arms ready to show you around! You have made a lasting impression on so many people. And I'm so appreciative of the love and kindness you've given me. I'm glad you got to spend time with and get to know our CeCe girl, who loves you so much. We love you and will miss your beautiful spirit. We'll make you proud!
