spring break

spring break was somewhat of a typical week for us these days...non-stop! we managed to squeeze in some fun activities.

josh left friday after school to go to the ncaa indoor track championships at a&m. he got back late saturday night and then had to work on sunday.

i can't remember what we did those days so i'll start with monday. josh had to work again monday so it was just us girls. i thought, what better to do than to go to chuck e cheese. on the first day of spring break. by myself. i must be crazy.

turns out it was not crowded and lots of fun. vivi fell asleep in the bjorn at one point. and i even managed to get these pictures.

afterward, we stopped by luke's to see josh at work, since we were right around the corner. then i decided to brave the big bad world again and take cece to a nail salon because we (really just me) were in desperate need of a pedi! this was not only her first time ever in a nail salon, but also her first time ever to get her nails painted. again, i must be crazy. there was sure to be a certain mom holding a 6 month old chasing around a 2 yr old while everyone stared and talked about them in another language.

but prayers were answered and all went really well. cece sat in the chair next to me. the nail guy was extremely patient and answered all of cece's questions about how to work the massage chair remote. and vivi sat in my lap and had a bottle.

tuesday, i took my ppr exam. my second and last certification test required for this degree that i'm beginning to think will never actually happen. another story for another time. but thankfully, i passed!

wednesday - josh worked again, and i had some dr visits scheduled for the girls. cece had to see a dermatologist for a yeast infection/bacterial infection that had been an on again off again thing for about a year. another cream and another antibiotic later, i think we finally fought it. we also switched her to almond milk rather than cows milk because we had her tested for allergies and that was the only one that came back somewhat positive. it was so low that the dr. doesn't even consider it an allergy, but we decided to make the change anyway because we are beyond tired of messing with this.

vivi had her 6 month well visit. her stats will be in a separate post.

thursday - josh was off work because it was march madness. vivi stayed home with him, while cece and i went to the zoo! we met up with april and maverick, carrie and bradie, erin and reagan, and tricia and dylan. besides it being overly crowded (taking an hour to get from the exit to the parking lot), it was fun!

oh and it was st. paddy's day. the "shirt" cece wore was the dress that she wore for her first st. paddy's day 2 years ago!

back to 2011

friday - all of us were home so we decided to take cece back to chuck e cheese, now known as "mac n cheezes" because we had some tokens left over from monday. every day since then, it's been "i want to go to mac n cheezes momma."

saturday - in the morning, we had a meeting with our financial planner, once again, another story for another post. and then that afternoon, we went to grant's 2nd b-day party! of course, i didn't bring my camera so i don't have any pics, but it was super fun. we ended up leaving a little early because i had just come down with a cold and wasn't feeling too well.

sunday - josh worked and we just spent the day relaxing and getting ready to start the week.
