A couple of weeks ago, CeCe finished off a round of antibiotics for her double ear infections. That following week, she started to run a low grade fever off and on and kept touching her ear so I took her back to the doctor for a check up. Sure enough she still had an infection in her right ear. She is on her second antibiotic and her last day to take that is tomorrow. She has her 15 month well visit tomorrow so I'm hoping for good news that the infection is gone. It's seems like she has been sick for months now...well probably because she has. She has constantly had something going on with her. At the very least she has had a constant runny nose, which is no fun. We've gone through 4 boxes of tissues in just a couple of weeks. I feel like there is nothing more we can do for this girl. She was on a small dose of benadryl to help dry her nose up, has taken motrin at night for the pain from her ear infections, nasal saline, chest rub, and has a humidifier going while she sleeps. We've done everything we can possibly do for her at this age. So I'm just praying that God will calm this weather down a bit and give us some consistency. Temps in the 60's would be nice but I'll take 50's at this point. I hope that Spring will bring better health!
I'll leave you with some recent pictures of our sweet girl!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Snow Day
We had such a great time playing in the snow! CeCe wasn't completely sure about it. She didn't like to walk in it very much but she did good. Our neighbor came by to invite us over a little later to help build snow forts. CeCe went down for a nap so Josh and I went over and helped. It was a lot of fun and our neighbors are so sweet and wonderful! They have welcomed us with open arms!
We enjoyed our once in a lifetime snow day in Texas!
Don't we have the cutest little snow bunny ever?!?

Christmas Gathering 3 - Day after Christmas
We headed out to East Texas to spend our last Christmas celebration with Josh's aunt and uncle! They live right on the lake and its always so nice to visit there. We used to say how relaxing it was but since we have a busy toddler running all over the place now, we don't get much down time. It was a fun time and a great way to wrap up our Christmas season!
Christmas Gathering 2 - Christmas Day
This was a busy day! We ended up making three stops. We started early in the morning at Josh's grandmother's (Nana). She always has coffee, sausage balls, and breakfast casserole ready to go! CeCe quickly made friends with the snowman giving kisses, biting its nose and poking it in the eye! She also loves all of Nana's jewelry and had to try it on! Such a cutie :)
Our second stop was Josh's parent's house! As soon as we got there, we laid CeCe down for a nap. She had a rather big accident in her pants so we had to change her. Luckily she had gotten some new clothes for Christmas, otherwise, we wouldn't have had anything to change her into!
Our last stop was to the Snider's. It was getting late so we didn't stay long. CeCe got to play with Reagan and her new toys for a bit before heading home! Whew...what a day :)
Christmas Gathering 1 - Christmas Eve
We hosted Christmas for my side of the family this year. We had hoped it would be in our new house but we weren't able to close in time. So we all piled into the living room at our apartment. Every year we play the white elephant game and this year it was 'as-seen-on-tv' themed! We skyped Rachel so they could be a part of the action. It was such a fun time! CeCe got lots of cool toys!

Where have we been?
Wow, has it really been this long since I last posted? Here's a boring and a little depressing rundown of what's been going on...
Christmas - Wonderful and busy! CeCe got way too many toys than she knows what to do with. Everyone was so completely generous, I think she has enough clothes to last her all year!
New Years - Low key! My mom came over and watched CeCe while Josh and I went to dinner and saw TWO movies. I can't even remember what they were though.
Moved - After making it through what seemed like to us as the WORST house buying experience ever, we our no longer in an apartment and are hopefully set for a while....a few years at least! I am just now able to somewhat appreciate the house because in some ways I resent it for putting us through such a mess. Ridiculous? Yes. Definitely. But so be it. A couple of days after we moved in, our kitchen faucet went out and our dishwasher sucked. So while we were waiting on new appliances to be delivered, Josh and I literally washed dishes in our bathtub. It quickly reminded us of what being a homeowner was like again. There are still boxes everywhere. No pictures ANYWHERE. Not one single decoration. And I have no desire to fix this problem anytime soon. I would love for someone to just come over and do it all while I just lay in bed switching back and forth between napping and watching tv. Any takers?
School - Started school again. I'm not too excited about my classes but it just gets me that much closer to finally finishing. I am sooooo ready to not have this hanging over my head anymore. I am taking 2 classes once a week on Wednesdays, which makes for a very long day. They are both education courses, one of which I have to complete 55 hours of observation at a high school.
Josh - Staying busy working two jobs, both of which he loves! They have started track season at school and he is really excited about it. He is doing great with his running, logging about 50 miles a week. On top of all that, he takes care of his girls! We love him so much!
CeCe - She is now 14 1/2 months and is such a joy! She is still as busy as ever and although she is not speaking English yet, she has A LOT to say. She understands so much of what we say which makes things easier and she knows a little sign language to help with the important stuff.
Her favorite thing to do is read her books and play with her babies (dolls). She points out where her belly button, nose, mouth, eyes, and ears are and likes to show us where ours are as well as her babies.
She LOVES to dance and never misses the chance to whether its from a jingle on a tv commercial, from the music channels on tv, or daddy singing over the phone to her or in person.
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been battling a cold and double ear infections. This was her first time to run a fever and have any kind of infection. She's been such a trooper throughout it all. It was actually nice for us for a couple of days because she didn't feel good and just wanted us to hold her which actually meant being still for more than a second in our arms for once. She is just about over her medication and hopefully all back to normal!
I don't have any recent pictures because I honestly have no idea where our camera is.
So anyway, hope my 'Debbie Downer' attitude doesn't rub off on anyone reading this. I'm slowly coming out of hibernation and just might get some energy to take some pictures AND blog more!
Something I have to look forward to - CeCe and I are going to San Diego for Spring Break to spend time with our bff's Erin and Reagan! We are a little nervous about the plane ride but REALLY excited to have some girl time! Can't wait!
Oh and FYI...I decided to take down CeCe's website (www.ceceliaraineallen.com) so now I will just be posting updates on here!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
