Well, now that Vivi is almost 8 months, I guess I will go ahead and post about her 6 months. I'm getting so bad at keeping up with this blog :(
This was a HUGE month for milestones.
Vivi started crawling (actually it was a few days before she turned 6 months). She seems to be on the same track as CeCe with her gross motor skills. She definitely gets that from her daddy's side of the family!
We started solid foods. My name for her is 'my little chunker girl' because she does not stop eating. So far there is nothing she hasn't liked. She's had peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach and potatoes, vegetable medley, yogurt, apples, bananas, pears, strawberries.
We also started her on snacks. So far we've only done Puffs and cheerios. And she loves it. It's been a huge help when we go out. We can hold her attention much longer when we are out by giving her something to nibble on.
Her sleeping schedule (or lack there of) was another thing we tackled. Up to this point, Vivi was still waking up 3 times at night. She would go to sleep about 8pm, wake up at 11pm, then 3am, and then 5am. We decided to start letting her cry it out for both the 11pm and 3am awakenings, and that stopped after a few days. Whew! Since then, we have pushed the 5am to 6am. She still wakes up a little before 6, but we don't get her up until it's at least 6. This is MUCH better than it was.
On the same note, Vivi's "room" is now our closet. There was one night that she woke up around 3 am and starting crying. Josh and I about had it at that point and in the wee hours of the morning, half asleep, moved her bed in the closet and it's been there ever since. Although it isn't ideal and we can still hear her if she wakes up, there is a lot more space between us and it is much more peaceful.
Since Vivi is more mobile now, she and CeCe have so much more fun together. It is so fun seeing them interact with each other. Vivi is much better in the car than CeCe ever was and I have to think that it is because CeCe is there to help entertain her. If she gets fussy, CeCe will sing and Vivi will stop and listen. She gets her to giggle a lot too. I love watching these girls love each other.

Here she is pulling up on the play table. She's so proud of herself!
Playing outside! I put Vivi's pack n play outside so that she could enjoy the sunshine without me holding her the entire time. Then CeCe wanted to get in too.
