How did one month already go by?? It has definitely been a whirlwind trying to juggle 2 kids now, but somehow we have managed. I feel like I've been more in mommy-mode, meaning making sure that Vivi has everything she needs, rather than just simply bonding and getting to know her. CeCe still takes up most of our attention these days. So I'm glad that we already have an idea of what to do with a newborn to help make things a little easier.
Vivi is such a sweet girl. She is definitely a cuddler. She likes to snuggle and be held. She is pretty laid back but has her moments of not being very patient. She wants her diapers changed as soon as they are wet, and the second she opens her eyes, she's ready to eat. She sleeps pretty well. At night, she sleeps for about 4 hours at a time so depending on when she goes to sleep, she will wake up once or twice. She's generally asleep by 10pm and awake for the day at 8am (with a feed or two during the night). Throughout the day, she just takes cat naps. She doesn't sleep for extended periods of time.
She rides fairly well in the car. There have been a couple of times where I've had to drive and reach a bottle back to feed her. About half of the time, she'll sleep, while the other half, she's crying. Overall, she's a trooper when it comes to getting out and about.
She's really strong with her legs and she's pretty insistent about getting this head control down. She loves to look around which is motivation for her practicing holding her head up. Josh has started her on tummy time, so I imagine she will just get better and better at it.
I think this next month will be full of activity for Vivi. I can tell she's on the verge of starting her cooing. And I know there are a couple of growth spurts coming up so that should be fun. Let's hope by next month, she'll have grown some of her hair back that she lost!
